Man United eyeing £30m+ Arsenal target

Manchester United are watching Napoli forward Gonzalo Higuain ahead of a potential summer move for his signature, according to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Argentine striker has emerged as a target for the Red Devils, with Louis van Gaal thought to be shopping for new talent.

Radamel Falcao looks unlikely to be kept on beyond his loan spell from Monaco, while the future of Robin van Persie, who will be 32 next season, is very much up in the air.

Reports have suggested that Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi is on the club’s radar, but now Higuain appears to be the Serie A striker in LVG’s crosshairs.

United scouts are believed to have been in attendance to watch Rafa Benitez’s Napoli lose to Lazio last time out, with the former Real Madrid ace on their agenda.

Arsenal have also been heavily linked with Higuain, who is valued at over £30m.
