Manchester United looks to have reignited interest in Bayern Munich duo Robert Lewandowski and Bastian Schweinsteiger, according to reports from the Daily Star.
Manager Pep Guardiola has alerted the Premier League giants to the possibility of letting the two stars leave as he plans to reshuffle his squad this summer.
Schweinsteiger, 30, has been linked with a move to Old Trafford since last summer, but is said to have a strained relationship with current United boss Louis van Gaal.
In addition to the Germany international, the Red Devils are also hoping to convince summer and January target Lewandoski to reinforce their front lines.
The 26-year-old only joined the Bundesliga champions the previous summer and despite being on good scoring form, Van Gaal is still hoping he can lure him away from the Allianz Arena.
He has been a regular feature under Guardiola, appearing 34 times and scoring 20 goals so far over the course of the current season.
