Manchester United fans are already lamenting Luke Shaw’s lay off during the opening half of their Premier League clash with Southampton.
The Saints marched to an early lead over the Red Devils, with Graziano Pelle able to score after good work from James Ward-Prowse.
Former Southampton full-back Shaw has impressed under Louis van Gaal this season, after a frustrating maiden campaign at Old Trafford.
However, he cruelly broke his leg on his Champions League debut in the loss to PSV Eindhoven and is expected to be out for around six months.
It only took 14 minutes for United to miss Shaw…

The 20-year old had become a fixture in the first team, making himself a key component of Louis van Gaal’s system this year.
Missing Shaw's overlaps on the left. United used to playing down the left flank and him being there. Doing the same but he's not there

He became the most expensive teenager in world football when United swooped to sign him for around £31m in 2014. That record has now been broken by current teammate Anthony Martial, when he completed his £36.6m deadline day move from Monaco.
