Manchester United were heavily linked with a move for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who is valued at £49.5m according to Transfermarkt, during the January transfer window, and Red Devils fans have been discussing whether he would be a good addition of the club in the summer or not.

According to The Independent, Jose Mourinho was said to be keen to bring the highly-rated 22-year-old to Old Trafford last month, but any deal failed to materialise as the Serbia international was keen to stay with the Serie A giants.

That situation could change this summer though, with the Portuguese boss likely to be looking to strengthen his midfield options with Michael Carrick retiring and the futures of Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera looking to be in doubt.

There has also been much debate about Paul Pogba's best position in recent times given he has sometimes struggled when played alongside Nemanja Matic in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Man United supporters have been discussing the potential signing of Milinkovic-Savic via social media, and while one said "he's way too similar to Pogba", another said "United should do whatever it takes to sign Milinkovic-Savic".
