Man United fans don’t want Romelu Lukaku to start against Bristol City

Manchester United face Championship high-flyers Bristol City in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup at Ashton Gate on Wednesday night, and Red Devils fans don’t want Romelu Lukaku to start.

Jose Mourinho’s men will hope to move a step closer to retaining the trophy they won back in February against the Robins, but the Portuguese boss may be tempted to shake his team up a little with the busy festive period still to come.

Lukaku has scored 15 goals in 26 appearances in all competitions for United since his move from Everton during the summer, and he has played the full 90 minutes in all 18 of their Premier League fixtures.

Man United supporters were quick to have their say on the 24-year-old via social media, and while one said “Lukaku must not play today” because he is needs a rest, another has urged Mourinho to “drop Lukaku and start Ibra”.
