According to The Telegraph, Marcus Rashford is close to penning a new four-year contract with Manchester United.

Rashford scored 13 times and registered nine assists in 47 appearances for the Red Devils during the 2018-19 campaign.

The England international had periods of excellent form - at one point producing seven goals and five assists in 12 appearances - but there were also spells where the attacker found it difficult to contribute, ending the campaign without a goal since March.

According to The Telegraph, the 21-year-old can expect to earn upwards of £250,000-a-week when he officially puts pen to paper on a new deal.

However, the report has claimed that Rashford's wage could actually surpass the £300,000-a-week mark if he meets various targets.

And the United supporters are not too pleased with the news.

Rashford has managed 45 goals in 170 appearances for the Red Devils since making his debut back in 2015.

However, it would be fair to say that the United fans are not overly keen on the idea of the attacker picking up the wage packet reportedly on offer.
