Man United fans go into LVG meltdown after disastrous 45 minutes

The world of football can be a little fickle. Not so long ago Louis van Gaal was being dubbed the saviour among Manchester United fans. His arrival following the David Moyes experiment was hailed, and when he got the Red Devils back into the top four all seemed well.

However, a few months is a long time in football, and the Dutchman is under a great level of pressure from his club’s own fans. His side may be sitting pretty in fourth in the Premier League, but the style of football being played has been branded boring, while a lack of transfer effort has been exposed by a series of injuries.

And with United 2-1 down away at Wolfsburg, they’re on the verge of heading out of the Champions League. Unless they can match or better PSV Eindhoven’s result against CSKA Moscow (currently 0-0) LVG will be heading for the Europa League, and some supporters hope the exit door, too…
