Roy Keane is a man that divides opinion, but there can be no disputing what the former Republic of Ireland international brought to Manchester United during his time at the club.
Keane, now 46 years of age, arrived at United from Nottingham Forest in 1993, and spent 12 years with the Red Devils before joining Scottish giants Celtic.
He skippered United from 1997 to 2005, and won seven Premier League titles, four FA Cups and one Champions League during his time at Old Trafford.
Keane, who finished his United career just 20 appearances short of 500, will forever be known as one of the outstanding midfielders and indeed captains of the Premier League era.
Keane has since tried his hand at management, but he is currently the assistant manager of the Republic of Ireland international team.
Much can be said about Keane’s off-the-field conduct, but his honesty and transparency is something that is difficult to find in this day and age.
