Manchester United's Premier League season got off to an ideal start as they thumped Chelsea 4-0 at Old Trafford.

In what was United's first game of the new campaign, they fielded new arrivals Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka from the start whilst Daniel James got in on the act late on too.

Maguire was particularly impressive but despite winning heavily, United supporters still weren't pleased with one particular member of their side.

That happened to be Andreas Pereira who took a fair amount of stick on Twitter for his performance.

One fan said that he wasn't up to par during the win as another supporter said he and Jesse Lingard contributed absolutely nothing.

A further individual said that the 23-year-old was out of his depth at Premier League level whilst his set-piece taking was also berated.

Pereira finished the game with a measly pass success rate of 73.3% but he did claim an assist, putting in a perfect cross for Anthony Martial to score from.

The Brazilian started just six times in the top-flight last term, appearing on nine occasions from the bench.

Here's what fans of the Red Devils have been saying about him.
