Football can be a cruel game, can’t it? So far this evening has been particularly nasty for Manchester United fans, who, after going 1-0 up, currently find themselves 2-1 down in Wolfsburg, knowing that a loss – as long as PSV Eindhoven keep it level against CSKA Moscow – will see them eliminated from the Champions League.

Nasty enough, right? Well, things are even more cruel when you look around to discover that Cristiano Ronaldo, and ex-Old Trafford idol, is breaking records… again! The Portuguese attacker netted four against Malmo, taking his group stage tally to 11 – the highest from a single player in the opening six game phase in the competition’s history.
