Former Manchester United winger Memphis Depay continued his fine run of form with the winning goal in the Netherlands' 1-0 victory against Scotland at Hampden Park on Thursday night, and Red Devils were quick to have their say on the wide man.

The 23-year-old tapped home a Ryan Babel cross five minutes before half-time as the Oranje recorded a friendly win, and it continued a ruthless streak in front of goal for the attacker.

Depay has scored six goals in seven games for club side Lyon since the beginning of October after joining them in January following a disappointing 18-month spell with United, while his strike against the Scots meant he found the net in his second successive cap for his country having also scored against Belarus last month.

Man United supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on the Dutchman, and while one said he is 'better than Mkhitaryan, Rashord, Lingard and Young', another said he is "needed back" at the club.

Here is just a selection of the Twiiter reaction...
