Man United fans react as Mourinho takes aim at De Boer

Marcus Rashford put in a hugely impressive performance and netted two goals on his first league start since Boxing Day as Manchester United saw off bitter rivals Liverpool 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.

There had been questions asked about the 20-year-old’s lack of gametime as he struggled for form and confidence ahead of the World Cup but the double-whammy inflicted on Jurgen Klopp’s side should have gone some way towards silencing the naysayers.

Not former Crystal Palace manager Frank de Boer. Speaking on BT Sport, he expressed his view that Rashford should be playing every week and feels it is a shame that his manager at Old Trafford is Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho wasn’t having any of it. Speaking as he prepares his side to host Sevilla in the second leg of their Champions League last 16 clash, the former Real Madrid manager aimed a verbal swipe at the man who lasted just seven games at Selhurst Park this season.

United fans were loving it. He made the comments on the back of an archetypal Mourinho performance to see off United’s fiercest rivals and this was another glimpse of classic Mourinho.
