Manchester United face Watford at Vicarage Road in the Premier League on Tuesday night, and Red Devils fans have been reacting to the belief that Jesse Lingard could start.

Following a below-par performance in the 1-0 win against Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford on Saturday and with a huge game against Arsenal to come this weekend, Jose Mourinho could choose to ring the changes for the trip to Hertfordshire.

The likes of Marouane Fellaini and Lingard, who was left out of the 18 to face the Seagulls, could feature against the Hornets, with the latter even potentially being handed a start against Marco Silva's impressive side.

The 24-year-old hasn't been named in the XI in the top flight since the loss to Huddersfield last month, and Man United supporters' reactions on social media suggest they don't want to see him back in the team on Tuesday.

While one said it would be "shocking" if he started, another simply said "loss incoming".

Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction...
