According to The Sun, Manchester United are reportedly interested in Leeds United's Kalvin Phillips, a player who divides opinion amongst the Red Devils fanbase.

The midfielder was linked with a move away from Elland Road throughout the summer, with the likes of Wolves, Burnley and Aston Villa believed to have been leading the race for his signature.

However, a move failed to materialise, due in part to the club's reported £20m asking price, as well as a possible desire from the player to stay at the club, which was evidenced a few weeks ago when he signed a new long-term contract.

United have had midfield problems in recent weeks. Paul Scholes identified it as a weakness early on in the season and with injuries to Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has found himself short of options.

Targeting Phillips could help to solve that issue, and some fans certainly think so.

However, he is not everyone's cup of tea, and the reactions below show that the fans are split on their view of the 23-year-old.
