Man United fans split over Ibrahimovic future

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is once again being linked with a move to the MLS.

The 36-year-old made his comeback from a serious knee injury earlier this season, and has a contract with Manchester United until the end of the 2017-18 campaign.

Ibrahimovic has not appeared for United since Boxing Day, however, with Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho claiming that the Swede is unhappy with his current condition.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Monday afternoon, Mourinho claimed that Ibrahimovic had not approached him to discuss a move to the MLS.

However, the Portuguese insisted that he would not stand in the striker’s way if he wished to depart Old Trafford.

Ibrahimovic, who is valued at £6.3m by transfermarkt.co.uk, was sensational for United last term – scoring 28 times in all competitions before picking up the season-ending knee injury.

The experienced forward did not look the same player when he returned to the field earlier this season, however, and it is unclear when he will be available for selection once again.

The United fans are currently split over whether the former Sweden international should stay at Old Trafford. A selection of the reaction can be found below:
