Manchester United’s hopes of pushing through a proposed move for Lazio’s Felipe Anderson have been handed a boost, with reports claiming that well-known agent Mino Raiola is working as a go-between in negotiations.
The Italian-born Dutchman is well known in the footballing world, thanks to his long list of clients including global stars such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Mario Balotelli.
And reports claim that, although he doesn’t work for Anderson, Raiola is acting as an intermediary between the player, United and Lazio as all parties attempt to come to an agreement.
It’s understood that the Rome giants are eager to extract a fee of close to £37.2m for their Brazilian attacking midfielder, while Louis van Gaal is eager to sign him after a summer in which his side were consistently linked with the 22-year-old.
Anderson shone last term as Lazio finished third in Serie A – thus qualifying for the preliminary phase of the Champions League – but he has not quite been at the same level of form so far this term in the sky blue shirt.
