Albeit a bit late to the party, Evra made quite an entrance and sent a brilliant Instagram message to the man who donned the kits of his rivals in the years gone by.

And it seems that the duo have met during their coaching training, if Evra's message is any indication at all.

He complimented Cole for his great career and wished him a great retirement.

As far as Cole's footballing career is concerned, he is best known for his days as an Arsenal and Chelsea player. During his career, he played for both of the big London teams.

The now 38-year-old was a part of the Gunners during his youth and then from 2000 to 2006, when he made the trip across London to join the Blues, where he stayed until 2014.
