[ad_pod ]It was quite the night for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his troops at Old Trafford at the weekend. The new 2019/20 Premier League season is well underway and it was very much a dream start for Manchester United who managed to dominate and crush their rivals, Chelsea.Maybe the 4-0 result did flatter the home team just a tiny bit considering the close affairs of the first half and seeing the overall statistics. But the victory was more than deserved and the final scoreline can attest to that.

But what makes the triumph even more impressive is the fact that this United starting XI was the youngest of any team in the opening round of the 2019/20 Premier League season.

And their icon, Rio Ferdinand was gushing over the stat on Twitter, sharing it with a couple of emojis on the side.

The Red Devils' average age was only 24 years and 227 days, proving to the world that the coach truly believes in his youth and is ready to give them a chance.

Whether this approach is indeed something he tends to use in the future fixtures or not, however, remains to be seen.

Manchester United have Wolverhampton Wanderers up next on August 19 as they look to maintain their 100% start.
