Man United impose one-month deadline to complete world-record transfer

According to reports from The Telegraph, Manchester United want to wrap-up their world-record transfer deal for Paul Pogba before the Charity Shield final on August 7th.

The France international has flourished into one of the top midfielders in world football since leaving Old Trafford four years ago, going on to lift four consecutive Serie A titles with Juventus.

Sky Sports revealed earlier this week that United had opened negotiations to re-sign the 23-year-old, in a potential £100million deal that would set a new world-record fee.

But according to The Telegraph, the Red Devils are determined not to be held to ransom over Pogba and want to avoid the pressures of transfer deadline day at all costs.

Consequentially, Jose Mourinho wants Pogba signed before the Charity Shield final on August 7th, essentially giving the Red Devils a month to agree the deal.

The FA Cup winners face Leicester City at Wembley in next month’s final.
