Man United legend wants the return of another Man United legend

Manchester United legend David Beckham would love to see Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo back at the club, according to reports in the Metro.

The former Red Devils’ and England captain believes ‘it would be great’ to see the Portuguese star return to the club he left for Spain back in 2009.

Ironically, Ronaldo replaced the England icon at Old Trafford back in 2003, when Beckham himself left to join the La Liga giants.

‘To leave Real Madrid is always difficult, but to leave Man United is even more so. So we’ll see’, stated the 40-year old.

Ronaldo has recently broken his current side’s all-time scoring record after netting twice against Malmo in the Champions League and is now on 324 goals for Los Blancos, one more than club legend Raul.

The former Man United man has only been in the Spanish capital for six years, after a then world record £80m saw him join the club.

As well as breaking Raul’s record, he also upped his career goal tally to 501 after scoring twice in Sweden.
