Manchester United have been handed a transfer boost ahead of the looming deadline, with Mario Gotze’s agent having revealed that the midfielder is open to a move away from Bayern Munich.
The Red Devils have been linked with the German playmaker already this summer, and with Angel di Maria having completed his long-awaited move to Paris Saint-Germain, there’s every chance the club could move for a marquee name to fill the vid left by the Argentine.
Gotze has long been hailed as one of the best attacking midfielders on the planet, and cemented his status as so with the winning goal in the 2014 World Cup Final.
However, his spell at Bayern has been turbulent, and it’s been claimed recently that the playmaker has grown disillusioned with life at the club under Pep Guardiola.
And now his agent, Volker Struth, has revealed that any offers between now and the close of the transfer window will be considered by his client:
“Mario has made it clear that his last two seasons have not been idyllic.” He told Tuttosport.
“However, it’s also true that no club has come forward with an offer. Bayern have not ruled out a possible transfer, just as we won’t rule out any possible opportunity, to stay or go abroad.
“There’s still a long way to go until the end of the transfer window, so anything can still happen.”
