Brazilian legend Pele, regarded by many to be the greatest player to have played the game, has revealed Manchester United failed in approach to sign him, reports the Metro.
The 74-year old icon has claimed he had offers from all around Europe, including the likes of Real Madrid and AC Milan.

However, he has revealed how the status of his boyhood club, Santos, as one one of the best teams in the world at the time kept him in his homeland, ‘I was OK. Santos was the best team at that time.’
