Man United make enquiry into Euro 2016 winner just 2 weeks after joining CL rivals

According to reports from The Daily Record, Manchester United have already enquired into the availability of recent Bayern Munich signing Renato Sanches.

The Red Devils were strongly linked with the midfield prodigy until a £28million move to the Allianz Arena, which came into effect at the start of July, was announced in May.

Louis van Gaal’s hesitance to sign the 18-year-old, which eventually allowed the German giants to obtain his services instead, is said to have left managerial successor Jose Mourinho incredibly frustrated.

And the Special One was so impressed by the Portugal international’s performances at Euro 2016 that he’s already launched an enquiry into his release clause at Bayern.

The dynamic midfielder made six appearances for his country as Fernando Santos’ side lifted the European Championship in France, also finding the net in a 1-1 draw with Poland.

Of course, United won’t be able to sign the former Benfica sensation this summer, but The Daily Record’s report suggests he’s still very much on the Old Trafford outfit’s radar.
