Man United may have to pay record fee for transfer target

Manchester United may have to pay as much as £35.2m for Fernando Muslera with Galatasaray demanding a record fee for the goalkeeper, according to reports from Milliyet.

However, with the transfer window edging towards its close, reports claim that Gala want €50m (£35.2m) for their man, which would make Muslera the most expensive goalkeeper ever, ahead of current record holder, Gianluigi Buffon.

Although not a household name, the South American stopper is considered to be a top-quality glovesman and has helped Galatasaray to three league titles in four seasons while also holding down a regular spot between the sticks at international level.
