Manchester United should do all they can to re-sign Paul Pogba from Juventus this summer, according to their former striker Dion Dublin.
The holding midfielder has been one of France’s star performers at the World Cup, with his robust displays having helped his nation secure top spot in Group E and a last 16 encounter with Nigeria.
Pogba has emerged as one of the planet’s most in demand youngsters since leaving United as a teenager after growing frustrated at a lack of first-team opportunities under Sir Alex Ferguson.
Now 21, he’s starring on the world stage for Les Bleus and has claimed two Serie A titles with Juve, which has led to talk that United are plotting a massive offer to entice him back to Old Trafford.
Dublin – a once Red Devil – believes that Pogba is just the player his old side need as they look to bounce back from a woeful 2013/14 campaign:
“Paul Pogba is exactly the sort of player Manchester United need,” he told talkSPORT.
“He’s got energy, spark and a hunger Rooney has, he’s also very brave. He comes with a badboy image but he’s a quality footballer. Man United should get him back.”
