Fresh from netting his first Manchester United goal over the weekend, Radamel Falcao has revealed that he’s keen to stay on at the club beyond his current loan deal.
The Colombian moved to Old Trafford on a season-long basis from Monaco over the summer, as the Red Devils stole the deadline day headlines.
Although a temporary switch, reports have suggested that United have clauses in place to make the agreement a full transfer for a fee of around £43m at any time.
Although much of the situation hinges on his ability to stay fit following a serious knee injury that ruled him out of the World Cup, Falcao says that he’s keen to remain at the club for “many years”:
“Me and my family are happy here, and we would like to stay for many years at Manchester United,” he is quoted by talkSPORT.
The 28-year-old netted his first United goal against Everton yesterday, as he poked home a wayward shot from fellow newbie, Angel di Maria.
Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City were linked with the prolific South American during the last window.
