Man United plotting move for England starlet

Manchester United are considering a move to sign Aston Villa’s Fabian Delph this summer, according to reports from The Express.

The former Leeds star has enjoyed a fantastic past two seasons, emerging as a key player in the claret and blue shirt as well as earning a regular spot in Roy Hodgson’s England set-up.

He was expected to leave Villa Park this summer on a free transfer before he penned a new deal over the winter, however, that has not deterred United.

The 25-year-old is believed to be seen as a viable option by Louis van Gaal, who is keen to inject some energy and physicality into his midfield.

Delph may be swayed by the lure of Old Trafford, with LVG’s side currently on course to return to the Champions League after a one-season absence.

The Villa ace has made 20 outings this season, netting one goal in the process.
