Man United pondering stunning late Arsenal raid

Manchester United are considering a shock late loan move for Arsenal‘s out-of-favour full-back Mathieu Debuchy to ease their growing defensive concerns, according to reports from The Mirror.

The Red Devils are currently without a host for first-team stars, leaving Louis van Gaal reliant upon youngsters such as Guillermo Varela to cover the right side of his rearguard.

And reports claim that they could look to ease these concerns with an audacious loan move for Arsenal’s Debuchy.

The France international has been linked with a switch to Aston Villa for much of the transfer window, but a move looks unlikely to go through given the player’s wage demands and the fee needed for a six-month deal.

Although the Gunners are likely to be reluctant to do business with a major rival, Arsene Wenger has already confessed that Debuchy leaving before the transfer deadline is a “possibility”.

The player himself is thought to want regular game time in order to make a late play to be in France’s EURO 2016 squad.
