Manchester United are set to make a huge £29.5million bid for Porto winger Yacine Brahimi, according to the Metro.
Red Devils boss Louis Van Gaal chose not to invest in new personnel during the January transfer window, suggesting he does have faith in his current squad, despite a number of injury worries and concerns about strikers Radamel Falcao and Robin Van Persie.
But the Metro is reporting that Van Gaal already has one eye on potential signings this summer, with 25-year-old Brahimi high on his wish list.
The young Algerian winger has netted ten goals in 25 matches for Porto this term and is regarded as one of the best players in the Portuguese Premier League.
Brahimi has also been tracked by United’s arch rivals Manchester City recently, according to the Metro, but it is believed Van Gaal is ready to beat them to his signature by making an early offer to Porto for the player.
