Man United ready La Liga raid; CL finalist and 29-goal hitman targeted

According to reports from ESPN, Manchester United are targeting Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann and Sevilla striker Kevin Gameiro.

The Mattress Makers star has flourished into one of the top forwards in world football since moving to Vincente Calderon in summer 2014, famed for his ability to play wide or centrally and boasting a potent return of 44 goals in 75 appearances for Diego Simeone’s side.

The 2016 Champions League finalist – who missed a penalty in normal time against Real Madrid last Saturday – is no stranger to United’s transfer rumour columns and has been linked with an Old Trafford switch frequently throughout his Atletico spell.

However, ESPN claim the Red Devils are also targeting Sevilla front-man Kevin Gameiro, who finished last season with 29 goals and five assists in 52 appearances across all competitions – including a goal against Liverpool in last month’s Europa League final.

Griezmann’s contract is known to include a £63million release clause but ESPN fail to mention a potential price for Gameiro, aged 29.
