Man United ready to launch PSG swap deal

Manchester United are prepared to offer out-of-favour winger Nani as a sweetener in a summer move for Paris Saint-Germain’s Edinson Cavani, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The Uruguayan ace has emerged as one of the Red Devils’ major targets for the coming transfer window over the course of the past few months.

Despite having only joined PSG last year, Cavani is already said to be angling for a move away from the French capital after growing frustrated at being shifted to a wing position to make way for enigmatic centre-forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Having paid £50m for the South American originally, the Parisians are believed to be holding out for a figure in the same region, but United are hopeful that they will lower their demands if Nani is included.

The Portuguese winger has endured an up and down spell at Old Trafford, with his performances having failed to scale the same heights as compatriot and former club icon Cristiano Ronaldo – to whom he was compared.

United are hopeful that the prospect of getting a natural wide-player plus a significant chunk of cash for the unsettled Cavani may prove tempting for PSG.
