The Red Devils boss enjoyed a fine debut season at the helm of the club, and with Champions League football – albeit a qualifying play-off – booked, he’s believed to have up to £200m to spend on fresh additions to his squad.
And reports claim that both Anderson and De Vrij are players he wants, as he looks to build a side capable of balancing European and domestic responsibilities.
Di Marzio has revealed that LVG is “crazy” about the duo, who played key roles as the Rome side secured third spot in Serie A.
De Vrij is a player the Dutchman knows well from his time as Netherlands manager – he took him to the 2014 World Cup – and could be an upgrade on central defensive options such as Jonny Evans and Chris Smalling.
Anderson, meanwhile, is an attacking player, and has risen to prominence of late after notching 10 league goals last term, despite playing the vast majority of his minutes on the flanks.
