Louis Van Gaal could offer Nani a second chance at Manchester United, according to Goal.
The 27-year-old Portuguese international was used as part of the deal that saw Sporting Lisbon’s Marcos Rojo to Old Trafford in the summer, and it was assumed the decision to let Nani go was a hint that Louis Van Gaal didn’t see the winger in his plans.
But Nani’s impressive start to his loan spell in Portugal has caught the Dutchman’s eye, having netted six goals in 13 first-team outings, including three in the Champions League.
Van Gaal believes Nani could be a suitable fit for his new 4-1-4-1 formation, with only Angel Di Maria currently looking comfortable under that system.
And it is believed Luis Van Gaal could recall him as soon as January in an attempt to reignite his side’s chances of a top-four bid.
