Manchester United are scouting £25m rated Benfica winger Nicolas Gaitan, according to reports in the Daily Star.
The 27-year old is understood to have been the subject of a scouting mission during Monday’s match with Braga, as club officials run rule over the midfielder’s talents.
An Argentine international, he has previously been linked with a switch to Old Trafford though a summer move never came to fruition.

Reports suggest the club could open talks over a potential deal with the Portuguese giants as early as next week in order to seal a deal ahead of the January transfer window.
Former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach van Gaal has seen his side toil in front of goal is keen on sprucing up his ailing frontline.
Gaitan has established himself as one of the club’s standout players since joining from boyhood team Boca Juniors five years ago.
