Manchester United have officially announced the signing of French wonderkid Anthony Martial for a reported initial £36m fee from Monaco, according to the Express.It is the second time the two clubs have been involved in a deadline day deal in two years, after Colombian striker Radamel Falcao moved to Old Trafford on loan this time last year.The 19-year old Frenchman has arrived in Manchester as the most expensive teenager in football, in a deal that could rise as high as £58m - breaking the previous record of £31m for United left-back Luke Shaw when he joined from Southampton in 2014.The attacker, who has scored 13 goals in two years with the Ligue 1 side, started his career at Lyon before making the move to the Stade Louis II.The Red Devils have been linked with a raft of signings this summer, but it is the young French star will line up in the Theatre of Dreams this year alongside Wayne Rooney and Memphis Depay.

"I'm so excited to join United", said the player, who has signed a four-year contract with the option of a fifth. Manager Louis van Gaal described him as 'a talented young forward with great potential.'

He will wear the Number 9 shirt at Old Trafford, and is now set to join up with his French teammates ahead of their upcoming friendlies against Portugal and Serbia later this month.
