Ander Herrera was again omitted from the starting XI by Louis van Gaal for their game against Burnley tonight in the Premier League. Fans have been clamouring for the star’s inclusion in recent weeks, especially due to the fact that Wayne Rooney has been consistently played out of position in central midfield.

The Spanish playmaker only signed for the Red Devils from Athletic Bilbao over the summer in a deal worth close to £30m, but Louis van Gaal has yet to show he has any faith in Herrera’s ability.
After all the effort Man United went through the sign the Spaniard – see the ‘fake lawyers’ incident at the start of the David Moyes era – it’s rather baffling why he doesn’t play more.
