Juan Mata added to his image of one of the ‘nice guys’ in football by hugging all of his ex-teammates following his side’s loss to Chelsea yesterday. Mata showed that no love was lost between his former colleagues even after he was unceremoniously sold by manger Jose Mourinho in January 2014.
Watch the Spaniard embracing his old Chelsea teammates below:
Chelsea beat Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United 1-0 to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table to 10 points and relieve any pressure that may have been building on Jose Mourinho’s men. Eden Hazard scored the only goal of the game – and his 18th of the season – to further strengthen his case for winning the PFA Player of the Year award.
Hazard is up against fellow teammate Diego Costa, as well as David de Dea, Phillipe Coutinho, Harry Kane and Alexis Sanchez.
Sergio Aguero may count himself hard done by for not being included as he scored again today to to take him to the 20-goal-a-season mark in the league for only the second time in his Manchester City career. This form was not deemed good enough to earn him a nod for the POTY award despite now out-scoring both Harry Kane and Diego Costa.
