It has now been nearly a year since the horrendous leg break that caused Luke Shaw to miss the rest of 2015/16 season.
Just as the young defender was starting to regain his form and solidify his position in the United first team, it was cruelly taken away from him in a freak injury.
But it isn’t all bad news; with the revelation this morning that 303 days after the initial injury – Luke Shaw has now returned to full training with Manchester Untied, and is set to return to first team action during pre season.
It is safe to say that everyone, even non United fans, has been longing for Shaw to get back playing, and it looks like that could happen sooner rather than later.
As soon as Twitter heard the news, football fans around the world couldn’t contain their happiness…
