Manchester United starlet Marcus Rashford has been given hope of an England spot as Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge looks to have suffered another injury, The Sun reports.
The 18-year-old enjoyed a very successful spell for his side after former manager Louis van Gaal promoted him from the academy into the first-team.
Rashford was included in the 26-man squad by Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson ahead of EURO 2016, but is largely tipped to be one of the three names left out in the final 23-man selection.
However, with Sturridge recently complaining of a calf injury ahead of their friendly against Australia, the Reds star’s EURO 2016 place in jeopardy.
Rashford is now in line to take his place on the team sheet for their next match and could even earn himself a place on the plane should he manage to impress.
Hodggon will need to register his 23-man squad for the upcoming European competition by next Tuesday as everyone continues their anxious wait on the condition of Sturridge.
