Man United still eyeing £90m world record transfer

Manchester United are still exploring a possible world-record £90million move for Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale, according to the Express.

The Welsh international is only his second season at the Bernabeu after his £85m move from Tottenham.

But with Manchester United willing to spend heavily in the Jauary transfer window, it is believed they are confident of reaching an agreement with Real Madrid.

But they could yet face a problem when trying to convince him to leave Spain so soon after arriving, with Bale having clearly settled in to his new Mediterranean surroundings.

United are also thought to have beaten Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester United to the signing of Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels in a sensational £47million move.
