Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has talked up the prospect of one day playing under Jose Mourinho again, according to The Sun.
Both men have been linked with moves to Manchester United in the summer as the club look to get back on track after a frustrating few years.
Mourinho infamously sold the Belgian striker to the Toffees while coaching him at Chelsea, questioning the player’s talent when doing so.
Since, however, the 22-year old has established himself as one of the best strikers in the Premier League and has notched an impressive 25 times already this season.
As a result, he has been linked with a host of top European clubs, with his father recently revealing either the Red Devils or Bayern Munich could win the race.
Despite a reasonably rocky past, the former West Brom loan star has talked up the possibility of playing under Mourinho once again at another club.
When asked about the idea, the Everton star replied: ‘Of course.’
‘Some people will say that I need to convince him but it’s not a question of that.’
‘Several good seasons, including the current one, have changed the situation.’
‘I’ll be 23 [in May] and I could leave this summer.’
