Manchester United target Joao Miranda has cooled talk that he will be leaving Atletico Madrid anytime soon by revealing that he remains content in La Liga.
The Brazilian centre-back has been linked with the Red Devils of late amid suggestions he is no longer needed at the Vicente Calderon.
Although he played a key role for the Rojiblancos last term as they claimed a shock league title and made it all the way to the Champions League Final – which they lost to bitter rivals Real Madrid – Miranda’s future has been plunged into doubt by the emergence of Jose Gimenez.
The young Uruguayan has formed a good partnership with Diego Godin, which has limited his senior team-mate’s playing time.
The 30-year-old has been, as a result, linked with a £20m move, but he says that he has no interest in leaving Atleti:
“My future? All I can say is about the present, which is Atletico. I have a contract here and I am enjoying it,” he is quoted by talkSPORT.
