Man United to seal top class forward deal ‘next week’

Manchester United’s move for Memphis Depay could be completely tied up by Monday, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The Red Devils have already announced that a deal between themselves and PSV Eindhoven has been agreed, while the player himself has accepted terms ahead of linking up with his former Netherlands boss, Louis van Gaal, at Old Trafford.

However, with his club side – who are already Eredivisie champions – having had to fulfil their fixtures, he’s been unavailable for a medical, which is the final hurdle before the transfer can be officially agreed.

But, due to a minor injury the 21-year-old will not be risked in PSV’s final match of the campaign against ADO Den Haag, leaving him free to finalise his United move.

Depay is already in England working on promotional material for his sponsors and once that is out of the way he’s expected to travel to Manchester.
