Man United to win ‘new Aguero’ hunt with £28.9m swoop

Manchester United are set to win the race for Palermo’s highly-rated forward Paulo Dybala by lodging a £28.9m offer for the Palermo man, according to reports from The Metro.

The 21-year-old hit-man has emerged as one of Europe’s most sought-after young players this season by firing 12 goals for the pink-clad outfit.

The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are all believed to be interested, but United are keen to come out on top and are ready to table an offer worth almost £30m for the South American.

Louis van Gaal is thought to be chasing attacking additions with Robin van Persie now nearing the back end of his career while on-loan Colombian Radamel Falcao may be shipped back to Monaco this summer.

Dybala has been compared to compatriot Sergio Aguero thanks to his lightening pace and eye for goal.
