Manchester United have been urged to forget about a stunning move for Barcelona’s Neymar by the club’s technical director Roberto Fernandez, who has claimed the attacker will stay where he is for the rest of his life.
The Brazil international is widely considered to be one of the very best footballers on the planet and is a key player at the Nou Camp.
His first-team role alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez makes Barca one of the most feared sides on the planet, but there have been links between Neymar and United in recent times.
Reports have claimed that the Red Devils are looking to manoeuvre a deal for next year after late summer interest in him, but Fernandez has moved to quash these suggestions by insisting that the South American has a job with the Catalan giants for life:
“We are currently working on Neymar’s contract extension and I don’t think there will be any type of problem.” He told Marca.
“I have no doubt in my mind that Neymar will spend the rest of his life at Barcelona.”
Neymar is currently a vital player for Barca with Messi out of action through injury.
