Manchester United have no chance of signing Arturo Vidal in January, according to Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri.
The Red Devils chased the Chile international for much of the summer, but despite late offers for his signature, they failed to lure him to Old Trafford.
Since the close of the last transfer window a winter move for the 27-year-old has been mooted, with Louis van Gaal rumoured to be ready to offer up to £35m for his signature.
Talk of a raid has intensified over the course of the past few days, with Vidal having been slapped with a massive fine and criticised by members of the Old Lady’s hierarchy after an incident in a nightclub.
Despite this, Allegri is adamant that his box-to-box ace will be going nowhere this January:
“The club has been very clear on Vidal,” he is quoted by BBC Sport.
“This season Vidal is a Juventus player and I think there’s no possibility that in January he’ll go to Manchester.”
Vidal impressed at the World Cup over the summer and was also linked with Liverpool.
