Manchester United have no chance of re-signing Paul Pogba, according to his Juventus team-mate Andrea Pirlo.
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a move for the Frenchman, with the Old Lady rumoured to be ready to accept a British record £75m offer for his signature.
Pogba spent some of his youth career at United before leaving the club in search to regular action just over two years ago.
He has since flourished in Turin, helping Juve to back-to-back Serie A titles while establishing himself in the French senior set-up.
Despite United’s eagerness to bring him back to Old Trafford, Pirlo feels that the club will not be able to repair the “mistake” they made this month:
“For whatever reasons they chose not to give him a chance – and that is a mistake they will have to live with now,” he is quoted by the MEN.
“I can’t see that he (Pogba) will ever return to Manchester United.”
Pogba, 21, is also a rumoured target for Chelsea after emerging as one of Europe’s most highly rated central midfielders.
