Manchester United star Memphis Depay has held talks with current manager Louis van Gaal over his immediate future, according to report from The Sun.
Depay was signed from PSV Eindhoven last year in a deal worth £25million, with many expecting the Netherlands international to become a star at Old Trafford.
However, the attacking midfielder has struggled for form and fitness over the course of the campaign, and is now behind the likes of Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial, and Juan Mata in the pecking order.
Van Gaal’s decision to leave him out of the starting XI regularly of late has left Depay infuriated, but even when given a chance against Norwich City last weekend, he was unable to make an impact.
And his frustrations have forced the 22-year-old to confront his manager over his Man United future, but LVG’s potential exit amid speculation of Jose Mourinho’s arrival could convince Depay to stay.
Depay has made 28 league appearances this term, scoring only two goals.
