Having arrived from Porto for a reported fee of £19m in the summer of 2018, Diogo Dalot has struggled to really establish himself as a key part of the Manchester United first-team.

Last season saw him make 25 appearances across all competitions in his debut campaign for the club, whilst this year his game-time has been even more limited, with just eight games to his name.

He was given the chance to impress in the Red Devils' Europa League clash against Club Brugge on Thursday night, but really failed to pay Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's faith in him.

As per Sofascore, he provided just one accurate cross, had only 51 touches, and had no shots or dribbles whatsoever.

After watching his display, United fans took to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the Portuguese ace.

One fan in particular meanwhile brought Aaron Wan-Bissaka into the conversation, and insisted that the former Crystal Palace man is "clear" of Dalot.

Another supporter meanwhile simply called for Dalot to be let go, and that like some other United players, is "stealing a living".

At 20-years-old, Dalot still has plenty of time to make good on his United move.

After all, this is still a prospect who former manager Jose Mourinho remarked was the "best full-back in Europe" in his age bracket after the announcement of his signing.

But his performance against Brugge on Thursday would have done little to convince Solskjaer to look to him as a genuine alternative to Aaron Wan-Bissaka over the coming weeks and months.

Meanwhile, Man Utd fans react to this transfer target's Champions League display.
