Having demolished Chelsea in their opening game of the Premier League season, Manchester United have been brought back down to Earth in recent weeks.

A run of three games without a win has already seen them slip seven points behind Liverpool in the table, and the club seemingly have not had the rub of the green when it comes to injuries over the past week or so.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted several first-team stars would be missing the clash against Leicester on Saturday. However, the Norwegian name-checked the likes of Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic and Ashley Young as players who quite capably stand up for the side.

After hearing Solskjaer's comments about the trio, United fans flooded to Twitter to voice their thoughts about the matter.

Many supporters of the Manchester side simply said "make it stop", and insisted Solskjaer is making it more difficult for them to defend him.

Some Red Devils fans slammed the idea of relying on their veteran players to produce some good form, and claimed they didn't have the quality to win games.
